The Big Ideas Forum is a regular community event held at Glen Street Theatre, engaging our local community in the robust exchange of ideas.
The Forum is an opportunity to engage with people you might not otherwise meet, hear opinions you might not otherwise hear, and come away from the experience an active participant in democracy, rather than a passive observer.
What's your Big Idea?
This is your forum, not ours. So if you have an idea for what you want the next Big Ideas Forum to look like contact our Community Development team at email@example.com

2020 was ravaged by bushfires and a worldwide pandemic, taking a toll on both our mental and emotional health and the economy. In this forum, esteemed social psychologist and researcher Hugh Mackay reflected on the challenges we faced during that year of upheaval and the questions many of us have asked ourselves: What really matters to me? Am I living the kind of life I want? What sort of society do we want to become?
Hugh also discussed his latest book, with special guest moderator Mel Greblo from The Coterie, as they explored how to restore hope, rebuild trust and inspire optimism.
