You can now book picnic tables online.
Manly Dam has four picnic areas, providing a variety of settings, including grassy, beachside or bushland. There are many tables to choose from that are perfect for family outings, birthday parties or any casual occasion.
Section 1 is suited to families, it has a large grassy area with an all-abilities playground, electric barbecues and swimming access.
Section 2 provides a smaller more intimate setting, with wood-fired barbecues, nestled in the bush adjacent to the water.
Section 3 is the largest picnic area with a variety of bushland settings, featuring beach like access to the lake, wood-fired barbecues and swimming access
Section 4 has direct access to the park's circuit track and opens out to the lake, with wood-fired barbecues and swimming access
Tables can be booked from 8 am to 5.30 pm throughout the year. You are welcome to stay beyond this time. The park gate closes at 8.30 pm during daylight savings and 5.30 pm for the rest of the year. Once the gate is locked there is pedestrian access only.
To ensure the enjoyment of everyone it is recommended that more than one table is booked for groups larger than 25.
Please note that there are tables available for casual use each day that cannot be booked.
Firewood to use on the wood-fired barbecues is currently in short supply. While efforts will be made to supply firewood, visitors are encouraged to bring their own but please do not bring charcoal heat beads into the park. It is important to note that on TOTAL FIRE BAN days, fires are prohibited (including the use of the wood and/or portable gas barbecues), only the electric barbecues in Section 1 may be used.
