Northern Beaches Council offers Community Centre and Library spaces to hire at cheaper than commercial rates.

Please have multiple dates and venues in mind when requesting a specific time-frame for exhibitions to ensure the best chance at availability. All hire must fit around existing bookings.
Other creative spaces for hire
The Creative Library
The Creative Library, at Manly Library, is a space for all who wish to learn, teach, explore and create - no matter the skill level. It is a safe and accessible area for community members to come together and explore their creativity.
Avalon Recreation Centre
Avalon Recreation Centre is located in the Avalon Shopping Centre and overlooks Dunbar Park. The centre has four activity rooms available for hire, one including sinks for art classes. You can also hire the centre for exhibitions, pending availability.
Collaroy Swim Club Community Centre
Collaroy Swim Club Hall is a medium sized hall with amazing views of Collaroy Beach. There is a lift for people with disability (located at the Surf Club entrance). This centre is suitable for sketching and drawing classes.
Forest Community Arts Centre
Forest Community Arts Centre is located in the same building as the Forestville Library. The centre has designated art rooms suitable for a range of activities including ceramics and painting. You can also hire the centre for an exhibition, pending availability.
Griffith Park Sports Facility
Griffith Park is a medium sized room which overlooks the Griffith Park Sportsfield. It is suitable for sketching or drawing classes.
Newport Community Centre
Newport Community Centre features three areas suitable for exhibitions (pending availability) and art activities.
North Balgowlah Community Centre
North Balgowlah Community Centre has a Craft Room suitable for a range of art and craft activities.
Oxford Falls Peace Park
Oxford Falls is a unique centre that may be suited to painters. It is a small heritage hall that features a deck and a large tranquil garden.
Seaforth Village Community Centre
Seaforth Village Activity Room is suitable for art classes and can hold up to 30 people.
Tramshed Arts and Community Centre
The Tramshed has multiple rooms suitable for a range of arts and craft activities, including pottery. You can also hire the Tramshed to have an exhibition, pending availability.
North Narrabeen Community Centre
The centre is suitable for classes, meetings, workshops, exhibitions and small theatrical performances with retractable seating for approximately 70 people.
