Found in littoral, warm temperate and subtropical rainforest and wet sclerophyll forest, Scrub Turpentine is a shrub or small tree that grows to 25m high with reddish/brown, fissured bark. The leaves are distinctive and is strongly 3-veined from base to tip.

This species is listed as Critically Endangered under the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Act, 2016.
